Questions or something not working? Email support@stickermint.com with your store's .myshopify.com address and, if it's about a particular image, the product name. We reply within one business day.

Getting started

  1. On the app's Home, click Scan product images. The app lists every product image with its dimensions and file size and marks low-resolution ones. Scanning changes nothing.
  2. Home also checks your browser. The fast path is a current Chrome or Edge on a computer with a graphics card (WebGPU). Without WebGPU the AI step runs on the processor, which is much slower and limited to images up to about 630 × 630 px.
  3. On Images, tick the images you want (up to 50 at a time) and click Enhance selected. Choose the options, click Preview, compare before and after, then Apply to product.

The options

  • AI enhancement: Upscale 2× or 4× (detail rebuilt by the AI model), Clean up and keep the size (removes noise and blur), or No AI. Results are at most 2,048 px on the longest side on Free and 4,096 px on Pro and Plus, and never above Shopify's 25 megapixels.
  • Image type: Photo, Graphic or illustration, or Graphic with compression blocks (also removes the blocky noise of low-quality JPEGs).
  • Background: keep it, or remove it and use white, transparent (PNG and WebP only; JPEG has no transparency, so JPEGs get white) or a colour.
  • Square canvas: with background removal the product is centred on a square with the margin you choose; otherwise the whole image is padded to a square.
  • Sharpening: a classic unsharp mask after the AI step. Usually not needed after an AI upscale.

The AI can rebuild edges and texture from the pixels that are there; it can't recover text or details that aren't in the photo. Always look at the preview before applying.

What applying does

  • The result replaces the file of the same product image: it stays on its product, in the same position, on the same variants, with the same alt text. The file format and extension never change (Shopify requires that).
  • Before anything changes, the app keeps an exact copy of the original file.
  • Enhancing an image again always starts from the kept original, so upscales never stack. If the image changed in Shopify after you previewed it, the app refuses to apply the old preview.
  • GIFs, animated WebP, SVG, AVIF and HEIC files and files over 20 MB are left as they are.

Restoring

Restore (one image, a selection, or Restore all on the Images page) puts the exact original file back. Download original saves the kept file to your computer. Restoring and downloading are never limited and don't use your monthly allowance. If an image was replaced in Shopify after it was enhanced (by you or another app), the app no longer offers to restore the older file over your newer one.

Plans

Free: 10 enhanced images a month, every tool, background removal one image at a time. Pro ($7.99 / month, 7-day free trial): 500 enhanced images a month and larger results. Plus ($14.99 / month, 7-day free trial): 2,000 enhanced images a month and batch background removal (preview a whole selection at once). An image counts when its result is applied to a product; previews don't count, but background removal previews are limited to three times the allowance (plus 20) a month. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page (Plans → Choose a plan / Manage plan) and billed by Shopify.

Uninstalling

Enhanced images stay as they are in your store. The kept originals and the image list are deleted 48 hours after you uninstall, when Shopify asks apps to erase a store's data. If you want any originals back, restore or download them before uninstalling (or reinstall within 48 hours).

Privacy

See our privacy policy and security policy. In short: the app works only with your product images and product titles, and never reads customer or order data.
